Shooting Stars

And after the evening meal
We took down the sunshade
Turned off the lights
And watched for shooting stars

And so, if I grow old
And I’m disconnected from reality
If my memories are gone
And I think I’ve been abandoned

Lay me down in a field
Where there is no light pollution
And let me watch
The shooting stars
